About Us

A little daycare with a big heart

We’re a small, passionate team obsessed with giving Toronto dogs the happiest, safest day possible — every single time they visit.

Our Story

Built by dog people, for Toronto dogs

The Third Leash started in 2019 when our founder, a lifelong dog lover, couldn’t find a Toronto daycare she trusted with her rescue pup, Juniper. Overcrowded rooms, stressed staff, and no way to see what was happening behind the scenes just wouldn’t do.

So she built the place she wished existed: a bright, calm, webcam-equipped home-away-from-home with certified trainers, small playgroups, and a team that genuinely adores every wagging tail that walks through the door.

Today we care for hundreds of Toronto dogs every week, and we’re still obsessed with the little things — the way a nervous newcomer finally relaxes, the zoomies after a good nap, the happy sigh at pickup time.

Small groups, big love

We cap every playgroup so your dog gets real attention, not just a crowded room.

Safety above all

Vaccination checks, temperament screening, and first-aid trained staff are non-negotiable.

Happy tails, every tail

From shy puppies to spirited seniors, we tailor play and rest to each dog's needs.
